Ivan Ferencz

Ivan Ferencz is a Senior ATM/ANS Team Leader at European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).

He was graduated as Electrotechnical Engineer at the Slovak Technical University in Bratislava in 1990. He holds also a PhD in aviation from the University of Zilina, Slovakia. He started his carrier in aviation in 1993 as a Flight Inspection Engineer at the Civil Aviation Authority of Slovakia performing flight calibration of systems for navigation, communication and surveillance. In 1998 he was appointed as a head of the Navigation Department and later a director of the Air Navigation Services and Aerodromes section of the CAA Slovakia. Aside of his managerial responsibilities he remained directly involved in flight inspection, validation of instrument flight procedures and a number of technical expertise in area of radio communication and navigation.

Since 2012 he works for the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) mainly being involved in the certification and oversight of air navigation service providers.
